I have had him since he was a 3 year old. He stands 14.3 hands tall, and is wide as he is tall. Has plenty of feet and bone. Stout on the horn, and doesn’t know how to quit a job. He’s done everything there is to do on a ranch. Made big circles and small. Branded lots of calves, doctored calves, cows and bulls out in the pasture, alone and as a team. We have caught some wild cattle and a few gentle ones too. Sorted in the pens and worked alleys and a bud box, flagged colts and ponied them. He can open about any kind of gate you would want to get on horseback. He has camped out overnight for short and extended periods of time. Travels and stalls well. He has been to ranch rodeos, playdays, clinics, and a fair number or ranch ropings, practice team ropings, and even 1 fairly uneventful jackpot team roping. He is in the bridle, but the definition of a finished bridle horse varies greatly, so I’ll just say he is in the bridle and I don’t have to plow rein him around anymore. Bandit knows his leads, both of them, will pick them up when asked, and will change leads on the fly. He stops decent but not a reiner. He isn’t a fast horse, but he has a motor, work ethic, and will go when you ask him, right when you ask him. So he is probably a little much for a kid or someone lacking the experience to operate him. About the only things I’ve found that he doesn’t like are pigs, and mean momma cows that want to hook him. He is good to be around, meets you at the gate most of the time, and easy fleshing.
